Prompt: What they say versus what we saw

Monday 19 June 2023 11am-1pm

Why not “he said, she said”? Because this is much more interesting, ok?

What differs between what you saw and what they said?

After the usual updates and chit-chat, we’ll get into our readings (prioritising the 500 word (ish) stories first before anything longer, to ensure everyone gets a go and we aren’t rushed).

500 is a good word limit to aim for (add or subtract 10%), but if you feel the need to tell more, please cap at 1,000 words.

See you there – in Carindale Library’s finest meeting room!

ABOUT US:

We’re lovers of words and supporters of each other.

We use (or ignore) a word prompt (or phrase) to write a short piece, that we then read aloud to the group.

Our friendly gatherings are more social than critical feedback in nature. We are here to support each others love of writing.

Criticism is a dirty word at Carindale’s Creative Writers (unless preceded by ‘constructive’).
